Paul Newman (January 26, 1925 – September 26, 2008)
An actor, director, philantrophist and auto race driver. Newman was a co-founder of Newman's Own, a food company from which Newman donated all profits and royalties to charity.As of May 2007, these donations had exceeded US$220 million.
Paul Newman, handsome, a fine actor, a superstar, a man's pal, the women's hearthrob is a Hollywood legend who preferred to live a simple life in Connecticut and hated all the glitz of tinseltown L.A. His facial features was once described as resembling the chiseled figure of a Roman god, which he strongly detested and have chosen to portray the anti-hero and character roles devoid of glamour. He will simply be remembered as a fine actor, faithful husband, modest humble man, devoid of pretentions, who have lived a full life of class, excellence in his art, decency, kindness and compassion to the less fortunate - a true role model in an industry that has so few.
On September 26, 2008, Newman died at his long-time home in Westport, Connecticut, of complications arising from lung cancer.
I am a fan of this great actor and human being, to the man who have entertained many in so many memorable movies as The Sting, Color of Money, Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid and the Verdict amongst many.
He will live in our memories foerever.
