The nomination of Sarah Palin is nothing but a sinister ploy by the Republicans in a shameless intent to grab the women's vote that favoured Hillary Clinton. The 'hot' governor of Alaska where there are more moose and reindeers than the actual population is being sacrificed for this dumb move. This is plain bad judgement and placing politicking above the country.

Again, Barack Obama made the right judgement in putting the most experienced senator in the land as second in command.

Palin a first-term governor of a state with more reindeer than people, will have to put on a few pounds just to be a lightweight. Her personal story is impressive: former fisherman, mother of five. But that hardly qualifies her to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

For a man who is 72 years old and has had four bouts with cancer to have chosen someone so completely unqualified to become president is shockingly irresponsible. Suddenly, McCain's age and health become central issues in the campaign, as does his judgment.

For months, the McCainiacs have said they will run on his judgment and experience. In his first presidential decision, John McCain has shown that he is willing to endanger his country, potentially leaving it in the hands of someone who simply has no business being a heartbeat away from the most powerful, complicated, difficult job in human history.

Some ugly scene happenned yesterday in Denver, as one of the three men, members of White Supremacist group was arrested by police as he was driving erratically around the Denver stadium where the Democratic convention is being held. Found in a rented truck were a pair of rifles, ammunition and sniper scopes.

This is one of the worst fear of many Americans, that Obama will end up at the same fate as John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Marthin Luther King. Racist slurrs were noted from the arrested suspects as:
"Blacks don't belong in the political office, he ought to be shot!"
"I can't believe how this nigger is being so close to becoming a president!"

Although the police has categized the three arrested men as stoned druggies and meatheads and dismissed a plot to assassinate Obama, the stark reality of racial prejudiced is still engrained deep in America.

If Barack Obama gets elected as the President of the most powerful nation in this planet,
the Americans will validate the new reality of today's American. The old All-American boy, bully, white, protestant, college football player, served in the military, no inter-racial marriages and still believes supremacy over any other race, colour or creed are now the minority in today's American society. Except in the American midwest, many still cling to those racist ideals and will be the hardest to go along with the tide of Obama-mania sweeping the United States.

Barack Obama is a raw model for the majority of Americans of a different DNA. His ascension to power is unparalleled because he had triumphed against all odds. He was not an heir apparent to powerful American clans as the Kennedy's, the Bush's nor friends in higher places or corporations as the Exxon and Haliburton or the Rockefellers or the Bloombergs. His family background is anything but destined to glory. If he was just any "mulato" kid, he could have ended up in the jailhouse not the whitehouse.

Abandoned by an African-Kenyan father at a very young age, was raised by a single parent white mother in an all white Kansas family, who's parents disowned their daughter at first for marrying a black man which was a taboo in those days and still is unfortunately in some circles true today.

Obama's father in many ways was an intelligent and visionary man as him and idolized him in his absence. Obama's father left Kenya to pursue higher learning and like him have graduated from Harvard and returned to Kenya to practice his knowledge and impart it to impoverished Kenya. Days before Obama's visit to see his father in Kenya, his father died in an unexplained car explosion. He visited his humble grave of painted blocks,
quite unfit for the hero Obama has worshipped. Then he learned the truth from the village folks about the tales of an alcoholic womanizer and tales of women he had abused, not quite the raw model he had imagined.

Her mother was buried in Hawaii, ashes thrown in the waters in a "swahili" tradition, departing from her Iris-Catholic upbringing.

He has a step-sister, I believed is half Indonesian.

All the above are abnormal DNA to occupy the highest office in America. But it is exactly these odds that make the Obama story extraordinary.

Living in a run down apartment as a Harvard Law Student, driven by sheer pursuit of excellence, alone with a scholarship grant, the skinny black kid from Indonesia and Hawaii, will suceed as top of the class and first black President in a traditionally elite white and priviledged Harvard Law School.

After passing the Bar, Obama was sought after by Wall Street for almost cool half a million dollars per year, but he opted for a 5 digit salary to help poor communities to get them into work force in South Side Chicago.

Michelle Obama, his wife, an Afro-American, successful Princeton and Harvard grad lawyer, from a poor black family roots, herself an example that defied the barriers of discrimination and succeed delivered an equally unparalleled speech in last night's Democratic conditions said: "It is not only war medals that makes us heroes, what Obama has
achieved , despite his funny name, that in America it is still possible, through hard work and dedication, whatever race, colour or belief to pursue the American dream!"

Obama's election will be a pivotal history in America and will forever change the typical American cowboy DNA.

The spectacular Olympic Ceremonies is nothing the world has ever seen, except - not all of it was authentic. The Beijing Media has inserted a digitally animated firework sequence in one of the closing ceremonies "live" fireworks show. That maybe forgivable as the rest of the spectacles in the stadium were magnificent works of art and choreography.

But one that is really sad was Beijing's discrimination of it's own people in it's poor judgement of showing off a prettier, bit-western looking 9 year old girl to "lipsing" the beautiful voice of the popular 7 year old singer because she has crooked teeth and chubby round face. Fuck it! Bruce Lee can't look like Chuck Norris, I'd watch Bruce anytime! Nor Zang Ziyi look like Britney Spears, so what! I'll take ZZ over BB anytime!

In it's attempt to show the world that everything in China is beautiful, rich, peaceful, modern, China is only fooling itself. Why destroy and displaced the narrow streets and houses of traditional "hutong"? Why build a wall and be embarrassed that there are indeed some poor people and slums in China as there are "flavela" in Brazil, "harlem" and "bronx" in New York, ghettos in London, Paris and Munich. In it's attempt to look so much as the West, it also

A peaceful protest against the shooting of an 18 year old Fredy Villaneuva, of ethnic Latino youth, last week by Montreal cops have escalated into a riot, violence, flames and destruction this city has never seen.

It all erupted in the north-end of the city, Montreal-North which has earned it's name and ridicule from the wealthier suburbs as "Montreal-Noir or Montreal-Negre" with its concentration of ethnic Haitian community. It has also become the haven of notorious Haitian
street gangs and drugs peddlers.

According to the victim's parents, the young boy was a quiet boy, who didn't smoke, drink alcohol, do drugs, nor went to bars and clubs as most of his friends and enjoyed video games. According to other witnesses, the cops on patrol at the city park, where the incident happen, apparently got out of the car approached a group of kids, perhaps on suspicion of drug use but found them playing dice but singled out Danny Villanueva,the victim's older brother, searched him, pushed him to the ground, handcuffed him and forced him into the police car. The younger brother approached the police and argues why they're arresting his brother for no reason, the rest of the youth were approaching the cops, voicing the same anger and questioning the caps. As they came nearer, one of the cops fired his gun, killing Fredy and injuring three others. All the youth were found unarmed. Most in the group are of Latino-Haitian ethnicity.

While it is true, notorious street gangs of Haitian-Latino ethnicity have surfaced in the streets of Montreal, while the increase surveillance by the police in concentrated areas of the town is to be applauded, it is also true, that the predominantly white Quebecois-French
police force have repeatedly engaged in racial profiling and racism that has to be addressed.

The numerous list of innocent or of caught for minor dismeanor especially in the black community are treated with unnecessary police brutality or just simply put-away by a fast trigger.

The Democratic Campaign immediately distanced itself as damage control issuing a statement that the song lyrics are shameful for a talented artist as Ludacris.

The inaugural party, instead of Barbra Streisand as the main feature singer should be Rihanna. Music performers will be Kanye West, 50 Cent, Puff Daddy, Jay Z, Lil Kim etc., etc,.
Also, since it's a hip-hop party it should be held in the White House Basement or Garage instead of the Ballroom.
