The Beijing Olympic Games is the most expensive Olympic Game so far.
The Chinese government is investing billions of dollars to promote Beijing as a world class city to lure the Western investors to pour on their investments here. The extreme makeover into a Western city with it's showcase from modern, sprawling airports,Olympic Stadiums and Arenas are an architectural feast for the eyes.
But the fast paced change is not limited to infrastructure
but Beijing is also cleaning it's old cultural habits. Beggars, masseuses, fortune tellers were all instructed to vanish from the sight during the duration of the Games. Smoking sections in restaurants will also be disallowed.More importantly all restaurants were ordered to remove dog meat in their menus!
