"Those who would talk with Iran or Syria were guilty of appeasement of a kind that once emboldened Hitler!" -George W. Bush, speech at the Knesset, Israeli parliament, in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of Israel.

The speech was interpreted by major political analysts as a sly attack on the President in waiting Barack Obama. As the reality of the first black President of the United States seems to unfold, a coalition of powerful segments in America are feeling quite uncomfortable, notably the ulra-conservative Mid-West, the American Jews and some racist and still prejudiced white segments of American society. No black American politician has come this close to the top.

What Obama has achieved is already a miracle in America. Most black politicians would have already folded, bloodied and destroyed with the onslaughts of political mud thrown over him. They tried to nullify his eloquence as simply rhetoric without substance. They dig the graves of his ancestry to find fault. They humiliated him with his picture garb in Muslim garments, they questioned his Muslim name. They exposed his pastor and mentor the ir-Reverend Wright. They criticized his wife. They fan the flames of racial divide. Now, they spin the "fear factor", that this man is weak and is dangerous as a leader of the free world.

And then the facts. At every interview, public speeches, at non prepared encounter with the press, Obama has spoken on any given policies with clarity, consistency and intelligence. The latest shot by Bush, to portray Obama as flirting with the terrorists and lay fear and mistrust among Jews was quick to counterpunch the damaging assault by quickly re-stating his consistent policy statements, that he had never stated engaging with the terrorist organization but spoused diplomatic dialouge with preconditions met. Republican candidate Mcain who hailed Bush's speech was caught live on tape after Hamas was elected a government in Palestine as perhaps, it maybe time to talk to Hamas then. The Republicans have been the ones flip-flopping their stands, then media spins it to the contrary. Hillary Clinton has voted for the invasion of Iraq, now criticize the act. Obama has from the outset never supported the war and voted against it.

Obama has condemned Iraq invasion a failed policy which has actually empowered Iran, with the enshrined Shite government in Iraq. The current Hezbollah takeover of Lebanon also proves another failure of Bush's policy in the area, making Lebanon more threat than ever to the security of Israel. The support of Abbas in an effort twart the elected Hamas in Palestine have divided the area, promoting a civil war, Palestinians killing each other, but nowhere shows the weakening of Hamas and the loss of lives in Israel and Palestine continuing and furthering the hatred and vengeance. He has praised the handling of North Korea, which was carried ironically through - direct high level talks and diplomacy with the enemy itself, the second person in the unholy trinity of Bush's doctrine of the evil empire thus Iraq, North Korea and Iran. He praised the military success of Bush's senior's Desert Storm, a swift military maneouvre safeguarding Iraq but not declaring an all out war Iraq. He praised Ronald Reagan with direct talks to the enemy, Russia's Gorbachev in the collapse of the Berlin Wall. He also praised the breaking of silence with Communist China by President Nixon that has paved the way of opening gates of Beijing that has led to the prosperity of China and gateway for Western commerce. All of them by the way Republicans, exemplary of the non-biased  principles of the man. then he cited John F. Kennedy and Nikita Kruschev's dialogue that prevented the Nuclear war over the missiles in Cuba.   So what is Bush's talking about that as history has shown that dialogue with the enemy is a naive assumption that the enemy will compromise? Is it because he can't talk and surrounds himself with bullies that dictates his policies. Have Bush ever had a single idea of his own? Damn, he fucked up even with the Katrina crisis!

In the end, the mudslinging and malicious attacks to weaken Obama, had boomeranged on his opponents and have actually helped Obama, who had never blinked and came unscathed, clean and as concise and clear, proving the indominable strength of character of a leader who will not crumble in time of a crisis, a gifted leader with a clear mind, uninfluenced by policies dictated by the generals and select groups, a hope for the fatigue, grieving, incredible loss of lives and drained finances created by a big American mistake, Geroge W. Bush.

The whole world is wating for the coronation of the most powerful man in the Universe, friends assured of continuous relations, enemies dropping the gun for a possible breakthrough, perhaps welcoming commerce, education and goodwill instead of American G.I.S, Many Americans want their respect back, noT the spit on their passports overseas. The world is wating to breathe  fresh air  after 8 years of painful Bushism.
